Getting Started

Goal

Get Keypress working end to end so you can start a coding session on your computer and continue from your phone, web browser, or desktop app.

Prerequisites

• Node.js 20+
• A supported AI CLI installed locally (claude, codex, gemini, opencode, or copilot)
• A Keypress companion app (mobile, web, or desktop)

Supported CLIs

• Claude Mode
• Codex Mode
• Gemini Mode
• OpenCode Mode
• GitHub Copilot Mode

Steps

1. Install the Keypress CLI.
2. Install and authenticate your preferred agent CLI.
3. Start your first session from terminal.
4. Connect a second device.
5. Send and approve one test prompt.
